A fact filled book written just for kids. I love the beautiful illustrations are kid friendly writing. A perfect companion if you are hatching your own baby chicks.
How Does an Egg Hatch?
Alright, so this one is definitely written for very young children as it is a board book, but I still wanted to include it on this list. How Does an Egg Hatch by Eric Carle is bright and colorful in true Eric Carle fashion.
Perfect for young children as it has simple text with large colorful illustrations. A fun book for read alouds in preschool and kindergarten aged kids.

I love the Let's Read and Find Out Science Series of books. Where do Chicks Come From is a wonderful picture book all about chickens.
As you read, you can learn about how a chick grows and how a mother hen takes care of her babies. A great book if you are learning about the life cycle of a chicken.
