Skills to Practice
- Number Recognition
- Proper Number Formation
- Number Tracing
- Fine Motor Skills
- Handwriting
Learning how to write each number takes time and practice. Whether your child is in preschool, kindergarten, first or even second grade you can use these cards.
When children first start learning how to write numbers 1-10 then 11-20, they often do not know how to properly form each number. Each of these number cards have guidelines with arrows for kids to trace.
Tracing each number reinforces how to properly form each digit. You can even use these cards to practice number recognition.
If you are looking for additional number flashcards make sure to check out these printable number flashcards.
As your child traces each number they are practicing fine motor skills. A great pre-writing activity is to have your child trace each using their finger.
Why You Will Love Them
- Low prep learning resource
- Easy for kids to reference while working
- Large numbers
- Can be used more than once
- Laminating is optional
These cards are truly low prep. All you need to do is print them off onto heavy weight paper then cut them out.
While you can laminate the set, that is not 100% necessary. Even printing the cards off onto cardstock will make them sturdier than plain printer paper.
Helpful Hint: If you want your child to be able to write on each card multiple times, you can laminate the set. First, print them off then cut out each one. Then run them through a laminating machine.
As your child is practicing numbers they can keep these cards out. They can refer back to the guidelines and numbers as needed. I like how you can add these cards to your math toolbox and take them out on an add needed basis.
