You can play this game with a wide range of kids. From young children in preschool to elementary aged kids.
Children can work in pairs or each child can have their own bingo card.
If playing with young kids, you can walk them through how to play with examples. Since the boards have 9 squares instead of the traditional 25, this game is less overwhelming than other bingo games.

- Acorns
- Apples
- Asters
- Dried Wheat
- Gourds
- Multicolored Corn (Flint Corn)
- Mushrooms

As your child plays the game they can name and recognize natural fall items. Each calling card has the name along with the color of the item. For example: a brown acorn.
You can pair this activity with a nature fall scavenger hunt!
Kids can also learn about different characteristics of the autumn season. Learning about the changing seasons is a wonderful activity for young kids.

- Problem Solving
Playing games with kids is a great way to practice a wide range of skills! From communication to making observations.
Whether you are looking for an activity for your classroom or just a fun activity to do with your family. Games are wonderful learning tools.
As you describe each item, players have to scan their bingo card to find the correct item. They then practice fine motor skills as they pick up and place the marker onto the card.
Depending on the winning pattern, kids can practice identifying different designs that are created with the bingo markers.
During this whole process they are practicing communication and problem solving skills! All while having fun together.
Preparing the Cards
- Print off the set onto cardstock or plain printer paper
- Cut out the calling cards
- Place calling cards within a basket or bag
- Optional- laminate the set or place each card within a clear plastic sleeve
Printable bingo games are a true low prep activity. After you download the file all you need to do is print off the set and cut out the calling cards.
To protect the BINGO cards you can laminate them using a laminator (I love this one for home use) or place them within clear plastic folders.
This bingo set has 8 cards, so if you are looking to order folders, make sure there is at least 8 in the set.
How to Play
- Hand out one card per player
- Mix up the calling cards
- Decide the winning pattern
- Pick a calling card then describe the item
- Players mark off the item on their board
- Keep picking and cross off items until a player has the winning pattern
- Players shout "bingo" or "fall" once they have the winning pattern
- Remove all markers from the cards to play again
Winning Bingo Patterns: in a row up, down, or diagonally across the board. Black out where every space needs to be covered or even the outside perimeter or the board. Making an X on the bingo card is another fun variation.
Bingo Markers: you can use a variety of items as makers. Acorns collected from outside to different colored glass stones. If the cards are laminated or within a clear plastic sleeve, kids can write on them using dry erase crayons or makers.
If playing this game with very young children, always provide adult supervision as small pieces can be a choking hazard.
