A fun way to use these sheets is to make your own coloring book. Not just for kids, adults benefit from coloring too!
Make your own adult coloring book by printing off a few of these sheets. You can even combine them with additional garden inspired coloring pages including butterflies, bees, and dragonflies.
Collection of Roses
The first rose in the collection is what many refer to as Beach Roses. Blooming with wild abandonment during the warm months along the edges of the rocky coast.
These are one of my favorite flowers. Not only are they beautiful, but they smell amazing.
Unlike traditional roses you purchase from a bouquet at the store, these feature large blooms with single petals.
Know as invasive species in many states including Maine (source). If you want to grow them in your garden, make sure to purchase from a reputable nursery.
Once roses are done blooming, even the hips put on a beautiful display. Starting out as green then turning to bright red or brown. The seeds are found within the hips.
Large Roses
Stealing the show once they bloom, double and multi-petaled roses are spectacular.
Color in this beautiful flower yellow, pink, red, orange, or even dark purple. Roses come in a variety of colors and tones.

I wonder what color roses came in all those years ago.
A fun way to practice color recognition with your kids is to look up some pictures of roses in magazines, books, or in a garden space. Then color in this sheet to look like one of flowers you saw.
We often think of roses during special occasions and holidays. Valentine's Day and Mother's Day are often celebrated with these special flowers.

However, why not celebrate everyday with roses. These flowers are too beautiful to save for only a few times a year.
Single Petal Roses
Roses come in many different varieties including shrub roses, climbing roses, and miniature roses.
Fun Fact: There are 150 known species of roses in the Northern Hemisphere (source)
Although many enjoy warmer climates, some varieties can survive very cold winters. Canadian Explorer roses, can withstand cold zone 3 winters (source).
If you are looking to add a few roses to your garden, the book Everyday Roses by Paul Zimmerman is a must read. Often times people think roses are hard to grow, but that is not true!
While long stem roses found in rose bouquets are finicky, easy care roses including shrub roses and climbers are perfect even for beginners.
This sheet is perfect for young kids who are practicing fine motor skills including writing.
R for rose or the word rose can be written on the lines. Then they can color in the design using their favorite coloring supplies.
Fine point markers and even watercolor paints are fun for kids of all ages to use.
My hope with these rose coloring pages is they capture some of that garden magic. If you are lucky enough to be using these during the growing season, take them outside.
There is always joy in taking time to stop and smell the roses!
