How to Print
To Print, simply click the image or the bold text below the image to bring up a PDF version of the worksheet. Each printable fits a standard 8 /12 by 11 inch piece of paper.
Each black and white worksheet is printer friendly and uses minimal ink! I love how you can print off just one or the entire set.
Your child can even color the black and white designs as they complete the worksheet.

You can use these worksheets with a wide range of ages. If your child is too young to trace the letters, they can simply leave them as is or you can write over them before photocopying.
If your child is ready to start practicing cutting paper they can cut out the words at the bottom. However, if they are not ready for that step, you can pre-cut each label.
A great follow up for any age is to learn more about each Arctic animal. As your child labels the diagram, you can talk about why each animal has specific parts. For example, you can talk about why the animal has fur or claws.

Each worksheets has three to four vocabulary words at the bottom. Each term is written in a dashed font that your child can trace. As they are tracing each letter, young children are practicing fine motor skills, handwriting, and letter recognition.
After tracing the words, kids can practice using scissors to cut out each vocabulary words. Then they have to match each term to the proper part of the animal.
Basic terms include: antler, claw, fur, and tail.
Finally, they can apply glue to the label using a glue stick. Then stick the label onto the worksheet. Not only is your child identifying the parts of an animal, but they are using a variety of skills to complete each worksheet.
Labeling Worksheets
Label the Arctic Fox Worksheet
On this worksheet your child can place the labels for tail, ear, fur, and paw in the proper spot. Arctic fox's fur can be white, charcoal, light brown or blue-gray.
There are several different species of seals that live in the Arctic. Ringed seals and Harp seals both call the arctic ocean their home. Your child can label the seal's claw, flipper, and whisker on the worksheet above.
Easy to recognize due to their large tusk, Narwhals are very unique animals. Your child can cut out and paste the labels for tusk, flipper, and tail in the correct spot on the Narwhal worksheet.
Label the Polar Bear Worksheet
One of the first animals that come to mind when you think about the Arctic. These large bears have sharp claws and lots of fur. Your child can also label the polar bear's eye and ear!
